Editorial: Don’t take jobs from the lowest-paid
“Our accompanying editorial listed five bills wending their way through the Legislature that the California Chamber of Commerce identified as “job killers.”
It would be regrettable if any of the five became law, but we believe Assembly Bill 10, which would ratchet up the state’s minimum hourly wage from $8 to $10 over five years, would prove most deleterious to the state’s lowest-paid workers.” (OC Register, August 22, 2013).
