Election can show state has ability to change, compete
“California’s business climate isn’t a lost cause. The solution will be found in politics, and the tools are right at hand.
A couple of years ago I appeared on a Fox business program where I was supposed to be the sacrificial lamb in its daily sport of bashing California. However, I challenged that during the interview segment, explaining there was a sound strategy to implement change by making our politicians more accountable and giving our citizens a greater say in the outcome of elections. The strategy included removing redistricting of legislative boundaries from the conflicted grasp of our state legislators and creating an election process that would mitigate the adverse effects of extreme partisanship and create more competitive races.”
