Expanded family leave mandate passes Assembly

AB 2039 “…could have ‘potentially significant costs to the state as the employer of approximately 200,000 individuals who would receive expanded leave rights.’

The California Chamber of Commerce, which opposes AB 2039, says it would “create such a substantial burden on employers that it would discourage employers from growing to more than 50 employees…or from locating to this state.” (Orange County Register, June 7, 2012). Read more here.
