Beware Sacramento’s job-killer bills

““First do no harm,” admonishes the Hippocratic Oath. That’s also a good prescription for the California economy. We’re certainly doing much better than during the Great Recession, but the state’s business climate still is not nearly as welcoming as in many other states.

That’s why we urge the California Legislature to reject the 16 harmful bills on the California Chamber of Commerce’s 2015 Preliminary Job Killer List, released Friday. These are bills the Chamber calculates would have a “negative impact … on California’s job climate and economic recovery if they were to become law.”” (OC Register, April 13, 2015)
