Union ‘Card-Check’ Bill for Farmworkers Could Put Brown in Tough Spot
After an Assembly vote earlier this week, both houses of the Legislature have now passed a bill that would allow agricultural workers to unionize if a majority of them sign cards attesting to their desire to do so. The California Chamber of Commerce has labeled the bill a “job-killer,” and is joined by all the state’s major employer groups, including the California Farm Bureau Federation. Read More.
